Dr Beena took her PhD in Information systems from University of Houston.  Earlier she served as Associate Professor in Cameron School, Department of Management and Marketing & Business. She is now the fourth Dean of Cameron School of Business, New University of St Thomas in Houston (US)

Dr MS Valiathan, MBBS, MS, FRCS (England), FRCS (Edin.), FRCP S(C), FRCP (London), D.Sc (h.c.)

Dr Marthanda Varma Sankaran Valiathan, is a renowned cardiac surgeon. He is the former president of the Indian National Science Academy and has contributed to the development of medical technology in India. He was also the Former Vice-Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Karnataka.  He received cardiac surgical training in the John Hopkins and Georgetown University hospitals, U.S. He had served as Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology for twenty years.

Ravi Deecee is the chief facilitator of DCSMAT. His visionary zeal to transform the education landscape in India has ushered in quality and unique academic models pioneered at DCSMAT.


Balagopal C, BA, MA, ex IASManaging Director Terumo Penpol, India.

Mr. C. Balagopal was an IAS Officer of the Assam cadre and had served both in Assam and Kerala till he resigned from the civil services to promote the Penninsula Polymers Ltd in 1983 in Trivandrum. Penninsula became Terumo Penpol after the Japanese company Terumo acquired controlling stake in the company. Mr.Balagopal has been MD of TPL since 1988. The company is a leader in bio-medical devices and blood bags. A prolific reader and writer, he has published extensively on the blood transfusion business and services. He is a staunch advocate for a National Blood Service.

Murali Gopalan, B. Tech, PGDM (Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta). President, RP TechSoft International Pvt Ltd

Mr. Murali Gopalan is the President, RP TechSoft International Pvt Ltd. Technopark, Trivandrum. He is a B Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum and a post-graduate in business management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.  Earlier, he was Chief Operating Officer of the Indian subsidiary of UST Global for six years.   He was Chief Information Officer since Dec 2008 till he left the company to found RPSoft.  Mr. Murali is a Founder Charter Member of TiE Kerala and also its past-President and is actively involved in its affairs.

Arun M. Kumar, B Sc, Masters in Management (Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

Mr Arun M Kumar holds an MBA from Sloan School of Management Massachusetts Institute of Management, USA.  He is a Lead Partner of India Practice at KPMG LLP. Mr. Kumar served as Managing Director at Qbera Ventures, LLC. He is also Member of the Board of Governors of the Asian School of Business, Trivandrum, India.   He is a Member of the Board of TiE Silicon Valley and Co-Chair of the TiE Economics Forum. He also serves as a Member of the Advisory Council at Stanford University’s School of Humanities and Sciences and Director at U.S.-India Business Council.

George P Varghese, BE, MBA, Managing Director, FCI OEN

Mr George P Varghese   is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA. He is the Managing Director of FCI OEN.  He is also in the Managing Committee of Kerala Management Association and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce

Mathew J Manimala, MBA, Fellow of Indian Institute of Management Ahmadabad,  M BSc (UK)

Besides being an MBA and a Fellow of IIM Ahmadabad, Mr Mathew Manimala is also a M. Bsc. (Masters in Business Science) from Victoria University of Manchester, UK and an MBA, University of Pune.  At present he is the Senior Member of Faculty in IIM Bangalore and Chairperson, Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource Management Area.  His research areas include Organisational Behaviour; Small and Medium Enterprises; Entrepreneurship and Organisational Restructuring

Prof. Omchery N. Narayan Pillai, M.A. (Pennsylvania University, USA), Advanced Course in Advertising and Promotion Management (Wharton School, U.S.A.) Advanced Course in Public Relations (Michigan State University, U.S.A.), L.L.B.

Prof Omchery N. Narayan Pillai is a Malayalam poet and playwright.   He was best known for one-act drama. He studied in Kerala and later in the USA. He has done Advanced Course in Advertising & Promotion Management from Wharton School, USA, done an Advanced Course in Public Relations from Michigan State University, USA.  He serves as Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans College of Communication and Management, Delhi.

 T.T. Thomas

Mr TT Thomas is the former Chairman and Managing Director, FACT Ltd., Kochi and former President of All India Management Association. Mr. Thomas is a Member of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.

Prof. Abraham Koshy, MBA, Fellow of Indian Institute of Management Ahmadabad

Prof Koshy is the Professor of Marketing at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad.  He is also a reputed teacher, researcher, consultant and corporate trainer. He joined IIM Ahmadabad as a faculty in 1989. At IIM Ahmadabad, he teaches in various long-duration programs such as the 2-year Post Graduate Program in Management, One-year Post Graduate Program for Executives, One-year Post Graduate Program in Public Policy and Management and in the Doctoral Programme. Besides he is also a program faculty in several short-duration executive training programs offered by the Institute and designs and conducts customized programs for companies. He is a Visiting Professor at European School of Management, Paris and at Glasgow University, UK. He was a Visiting Professor at Strathclyde Business School, UK.

Prof. (Dr) P R Poduval, MA, MA, ITP (Harvard) Ph D

Prof Poduval is the Former Dean, Faculty of Social Science & Former Director School of Management Studies, Cochin.  He holds a Masters degree and Ph D from Harvard University, USA .He is the Chairman and member of advisory bodies of many B-Schools in India.  He is also a member of selection boards of several government and corporate establishments including UPSC.

K.X.M. John

Mr KXM John is a former Executive Director of Industrial Development Bank of India.  Previously, Mr John has also been the Director of IDBI’s Jawaharlal Nehru Institute for Development Banking based in Hyderabad.

Sam Santhosh, BE, PGDM (Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta)

Mr Sam Santhosh, a Charter Member of TiE Kerala is currently the Promoter & CEO of SciGenom Inc. – a genomics R & D organization that conducts research work aimed at understanding the role of DNA sequence variation in human health and disease (which he founded in 2012).  Sam was the CEO and Managing Director of California Software Limited (Calsoft) from 1992 –Feb 2012. He founded Calsoft in 1992 and under Sam’s vision Calsoft rapidly grew from a niche player in the Silicon Valley to a global player with over 1200 employees and presence in 8 countries. Sam is passionate about science and technology and believes that harnessing the power of science is critical to innovation and wealth creation.  A natural entrepreneur, Sam is constantly challenging and redefining the boundaries of his own personal achievements. He works tirelessly towards building and mentoring successful businesses; He sits on the board of a number of companies, both in US and India. In this role he advises, guides and mentors these companies to help them grow and realize their true potential.

Shaffi Mather, MBA (Harvard)

Mr Shaffi Mather holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University.  He is a visiting Professor of The London School of Economics. He is a noted entrepreneur and an economic policy expert.  He has been appointed as the Economic Advisor to Chief Minister of Kerala.

Harikrishnan R. Nair, PGDM (IIM Calcutta)

Mr Harikrishnan Nair is the Managing Director of Western India Cashew Company, Kollam and Chairman of The Cashew Export Promotion Council of India.  He pioneered a plastic-based bulk-packaging system for cashews which became the new industry-standard and won a National Award for Excellence in Packaging System Design from the Indian Institute of Packaging.  His company is a prominent exporter of value-added cashews and is British Retail Consortium (BRC), International Food Standard (IFS) and Kosher certified. Mr. Hari Krishnan Nair is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a B.Com gold medallist from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Bangalore. He is the Vice Chairman of the Trivandrum Zone of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and a Charter Member of TiE Kerala.

Jose Dominic, FCA – Managing Director, CGI Earth

Jose Dominic is the pioneer of the hotel industry in India who brought in the concept of alternate models of luxury. He designed a model which offers a unique experience of luxury without the indulgence and extravagance offered by ordinary luxury hotels. He is a charted accountant who left his profession to venture into the hotel business. Today his company is into multiple ventures like air catering and real estate.

Brig M C Ashok Kumar (Retd), M Sc, MMS, PSC, HDMC

Brig MC Ashok Kumar is an alumnus of Sainik School Trivandrum, National Defence Academy, Pune and Indian Military Academy, Dehradoon. He holds a Masters degree in Military Science from the University of Chennai and a Masters degree in Management Sciences from Osmania University. Besides a large number of years in operational service in the Indian Army, he had also been an instructor in the Infantry School, Defence Services Staff College and College of Defence Management (HOD, Dept of HRD). He had also been an UN Observer in Namibia. After taking premature retirement from the Indian Army, he served with Reliance Retail Ltd as State Head, Supply Chain in Kerala, from 2007 to 2009.  He is the Director of DCSMAT Institutions and the Member Secretary of the Governing Council
